The Supply Chain & Analytics (SC&A) Department in the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis is seeking two full-time tenure-track Assistant Professors for Fall 2020.
This position is seeking to address staffing needs in Supply Chain & Analytics and related areas. The position requires strong research potential and a commitment to teaching. Individuals who expect to have a completed doctoral degree (in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Operations Research, Logistics, Data Science, Analytics or another related field) by August 2020 are encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong research skills and the ability to perform research and publish in high quality research outlets
Research and teaching interests in supply chain management and/or analytics and related areas
Ability to collaborate in strengthening the department's Ph.D. program
Interest in applied research
Interest in working with the business community
Ability to generate external support for doctoral students and enthusiasm for working with doctoral students
Having practical work experience is an advantage.

This position reports to the Supply Chain & Analytics Department Chair and is subject to the Collected Rules and Regulations of the University of Missouri System.
A successful candidate should be eligible to attain permission to work in the US. An active researcher is assigned four three-credit course sections in an academic year.
The candidate should have the ability to:
Teach effectively technical and managerial concepts at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level
Design, execute, and publish quality research
Generate external research grants to support the PhD program
Communicate effectively, efficiently, and sensitively with students, peers, staff, and other members of the community
