The Florida Hospital Waterford Lakes Emergency Department (ED) is an extension of our Florida Hospital East Orlando Campus - located just east of east. The 18,000-square-foot facility features state-of-the-art emergency healthcare serving the residents of East Orange County open 24-7. The 24-bed ED includes an urgent care track to diagnose and treat non-emergent cases more efficiently, an observation unit to closely monitor care for up to 24 hours, and offers emergent care supported by ground transportation if specialty care is needed. Our dedicated team of highly trained and skilled Advanced Respiratory therapists act as an adjunct to the physicians to provide support for airway management and pulmonary insufficiencies of the adult, pediatric and neonate patients. Respiratory Care is responsible for initiating and management of mechanical ventilators invasively and non-invasively, setting up and maintaining invasive hemodynamic monitoring, obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gases sampling, oxygen therapy, EKGs, medicated aerosol treatments and provide emotional and spiritual support of patient and family members as needed.
The Inventory Control Management Lead is responsible for supporting departments for all supply/materials functions. Responsibilities include guiding and assisting the Inventory Control Par Technicians, generating requisitions for orders, receiving orders, tracking and researching orders, managing inventory and adjusting par levels when necessary. Effectively and expeditiously communicates changes in inventory or incidences of unavailable inventory to the supply chain and/or clinical teams. Reviews reports and data related to supplies and charges to ensure accuracy and completeness. Responsible for processing and oversight of all repairs, and assisting with the department's capital equipment process as needed. Contributes to development of action plans for supply cost savings and management. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements
Organizational skills (Preferred)
Ability to manage stress and handle challenging situations and personalities (Preferred)
Current knowledge of medical terminology or completion of hospital approved course (Preferred)
Knowledge of inventory control concepts (Preferred)
Ability to lead staff (Preferred)
One year of previous material management or hospital experience
High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent (Preferred)
Previous lead experience. (Preferred)

Takes the initiative in maintaining high standards and quality in the facilitation of cost savings and containment. Collaborates with department leadership and operating room specialty coordinators on a regular basis to review unit monthly item utilization and usage and other requests.
Acts as a liaison between departments regarding orders, cost center discrepancies and various materials management issues. Ensures vendors are educated regarding AdventHealth Policies and Procedures. Supports the clinical teams in ensuring vendors do not have access into surgical services areas unless authorized.
May assist and oversee the department ordering catalog and SurgiNet maintenance as needed. Maintains unit Price File information, working with management team on price file issues, cost per case analysis and ensures that departmental charge sheets are updated. Analyzes and corrects the department JE Detail Report to ensure correct cost centers and are within the monthly budget guidelines.
Works with AH Systems material management to ensure that all department inventory stock supplies have the appropriate MPC numbers. Works with leadership to set and maintain par levels for inventory. Works closely with purchasing and the warehouse for any supply issues.
Manages the inventory of implants. Scans all applicable implants to ensure adherence to FDA tracking guidelines. Utilizes computer system for tracking.
May facilitate or participate in department repairs, loaners, and special orders/requests within the budget for designated department.
Assists Inventory Control Par Technicians as needed and participates in the training and orientation of new materials/supply personnel.
Collaborates with supervisor on special projects and special requests as situations dictate.
Supports the customer and employee satisfaction activities of the organization.
Maintains good relationships with physicians, management, other departments and staff.
