The Segment Sourcing Manager will coordinate and execute supply chain activities to sustain and grow KJLC’s business levels for distributed and manufactured goods within an assigned product group.
Key Job Elements:
Coordinate Supply Chain efforts within the Process Equipment Division between the Product Managers and/or Material Control to maximize value to KJLC.
Identifies and develops potential new suppliers and effectively manages supplier relationships and supplier quality at multiple levels.
Manages moderately to highly complex Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quote (RFQ) as required.
Directly negotiates or oversees negotiations with key suppliers. Effectively implements strategic supplier strategies and initiatives.
Effectively communicates sourcing strategies, results, and metrics to leadership teams as required.
Process purchase requirements to satisfy sales orders, production orders, and stocking requirements.
Evaluate and recommend stocking levels based on historical transactions and sale forecasts to minimize global inventory required to satisfy customers.
Perform vendor onsite evaluations, audits, and inspections as required.
Involved in training, supervising, and mentoring buyers within the department.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years’ purchasing experience within a manufacturing or production facility.
Working knowledge of computer programs for word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
Working knowledge of purchasing techniques including RFQs, blanket orders and product discounts that improve strategic costing capabilities.
Foreign language skills
