UCHealth System Director of Capital Asset Management

Summary: Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. Responsible for developing strategic partnerships with key suppliers and establishing fleet management programs where appropriate. Brings stakeholders together to drive equipment standards. Managing a capital budget of $200 million+, ensuring we are good stewards of those resources, and optimizing our capital spend in a direct partnership with our Chief Finance Officers. Manages all clinical equipment service contracts and establishes a life cycle management program in collaboration with Clinical Engineering and the Information Technology department.
Responsibilities: * Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. * Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. * Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. * Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. * Works in concert with equipment planning to ensure equipment standards are established and adhered to
Requirements * Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in related field. * 5 years of relevant experience in negotiating capital equipment, managing service agreements and organizational assets, planning fiscal budgets and conducting total cost of ownership analysis. * Finance background or Clinical engineering background strongly preferred.
