We are seeking a technical expert like you to provide strong leadership in the effective evaluation, management, and technical information exchange of the extensive FiberMax, Stoneville and Credenz portfolios of cotton and soybean varieties and trait technology packages. The above will lead to decisive variety placement that optimizes yield potential and performance predictability within specific production regions.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your Thesis-based MS or PhD degree in a biological or agricultural related science. PhD with minimum of 4 years' experience or MS with minimum of 6 years' experience in an agriculturally related field.
You will outline, implement and manage a broad testing program to effectively evaluate BASF cotton and soybean varieties for commercial advancement and placement refinement.
Successfully engaging across the business, you will work closely with commercial operations, marketing, supply chain, production, breeding, trait development, technical service, innovation specialists and seed advisors to profitably manage a robust product portfolio of seeds and traits.
Working as a well-rounded professional, you will follow stewardship and compliance requirements, contribute to the development of commercial strategies and provide product positioning tools for sales.
Demonstrating your robust technical knowledge of crop management practices of cotton and soy in the US, you will serve as a technical expert of the product portfolio of seed and traits and play a significant role in the variety advancement process. In doing so, you will demonstrate your high level of competency in product portfolio, product placement, product management, and competitive offerings.
Relying on your effective communication skills and strong internal and external networks, you will lead agronomic and product training activities targeted at seed advisors, innovation specialists, business representatives, customers, university personnel, and other influential customers.
Your effective interpersonal relationship skills will serve you well as you train Seed Advisors and Innovation Specialists on investigative field techniques and assist with product investigation where necessary.
Using your strong statistical and analytical skills and strengths in experimental design, you will provide leadership in data management and analysis, as well as development of sales support materials.
Your computer proficiency and creative skills will be valued assets as you extend your knowledge well beyond own region, with global practice awareness. Additionally, you will use these skills to actively engage in special projects to support growth of the seed and trait business in US and/or globally.
Your ability to think strategically on short-term and long-term business development, react to market developments and make critical decisions for the region will be essential, as erroneous decisions or recommendations will compromise Company reputation, miss critical growth targets, result in failure to meet customer demand, and cause significant impact to current and future profitability.
You must be willing to travel 30% of the time in this role.
