This is a full-time, 10-Month AFT position, September 1st through June 30th, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Note: This position is in the “NL” category of employment (non-fixed work week) An AFT- NL professional staff member or librarian who is required to work beyond 35 hours shall be compensated through compensatory time off. Compensatory time shall be earned for hours worked beyond the normal work week, or on an employee’s regular day off, if requested and approved by their supervisor.

Reporting to the Director of the Nursing Simulation Labs, this individual is responsible for the collaboration/teaching necessary for the integration of clinical content across all curricula into the teaching/learning activities of the simulation and learning center.
Assist with the operational activities of the simulation and skills lab center to include teaching, learning, research and innovation activities.
Assist in the coordination/teaching and evaluation of the clinical laboratory experiences of the nursing students.
Collaborate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and practice standards consistent with the center's educational objectives.
Collaborate with faculty, clinical partners and dedicated education unit to develop curricula for clinical education.
Design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning scenarios, procedures, and practices consistent with clinical learning objectives.
Collaborate with full-time faculty, clinical partners and dedicated education unit to develop evidence based methods for clinical learning and competency testing.
Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in curricula.
Assist with classroom lab and simulation set up and take down.
Order and maintain educational resource materials, lab equipment and supplies.
Organize and cover lab times to provide training for students and others.
Supervise student aides working in simulation and lab areas.
Assist in the development of PAR levels in the simulation and learning center.
Collaborate with Simulation Director to develop strategic plans for and prioritize current resources to ensure that the activities of the simulation and learning center are sustained.
Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in simulation.
Mentor students, adjunct faculty and clinical partner staff.
Participate in community outreach programs to include conducting tours of the facilities, recruiting students, participating in public relations activities, and performing community service.
Minimum of Master's degree in Nursing. License as a Registered Professional Nurse in NJ.
Minimum of 10 years of recent nursing clinical experience.
Knowledge of professional nursing curricula.

Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
Ability to collaborate with professional teams with diverse educational/clinical backgrounds.
