The Staff Associate, IT Business Operations Manager is responsible for managing the business operations of the division, monitoring budgets, inventory control, and coordinating complex projects as assigned.
1.Responsible for end-to-end budget administration and procurement oversight across the IT Division. Create, update, and reconcile IT budget tracking spreadsheets. Manage and execute controls over all IT Division budgets. 2.Responsible for managing and reconciling the IT student employee budget. Includes part-time employees, interns, and graduate assistants. 3.Evaluate IT budget and procurement procedures and controls and make recommendations for enhancements or modifications to systems or processes. 4.Manage all IT hardware refresh cycle activities including the documenting, budgeting, procurement, and distribution of PCs, Macs, notebooks, printers, and other technology devices for all faculty, staff, visiting lecturers, temporary part-time employees, and student worker machines, along with classrooms, labs, and kiosks. 5.Research and recommend configurations associated with the procurement of PCs, Macs, notebooks, printers, and other technology devices. 6.Coordinate IT inventory management activities including policies and procedures with Central Receiving Inventory Management. 7.Prepare reports, executive summaries, and other documents for the Vice President of Information Technology and CIO pertaining to the IT budget, IT asset management, and other projects as assigned. 8.Administer asset management and controls for all IT Division properties. 9.Facilitate effective communication within division and across the university about division initiatives related to budgeting, hardware refresh cycle, inventory management, and asset management. 10.Actively supports the University's initiatives of Diversity & Social Justice. 11.Additional responsibilities as directed by the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer consistent with rank and position.
1.Minimum of bachelor's degree or experience within a higher education IT budgeting and operations setting required. 2.Minimum 4 years' experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.) required. 3.Minimum 4 years' experience with Microsoft SharePoint or web page management required. 4.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people of varying technical ability required. 5.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially in a team environment required.
1.Demonstrated long and short-term organization and planning skills preferred. 2.Strong working knowledge of Ellucian Banner preferred 3.Strong vendor relationship management skills preferred. 4.Demonstrated comfort and productivity in a fast-paced, ever changing work environment preferred. 5.Experience with TeamDynamix IT Service Management System preferred. 6.Experience with computing hardware (PCs, Macs, tablets, printers) preferred.
