We are seeking a Materiel Program Management Specialist to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL or Canoga Park, CA.
In this role, you will:
Manage the performance of suppliers supporting various Aerojet Rocketdyne Programs.
Interface with procurement and the engineering community to drive resolution of technical, schedule, and administrative materiel issues.
Travel frequently to various suppliers across the country.
Utilize your background and expertise to communicate between team members, customer counterparts, and suppliers, to provide assurance that the hardware is compliant to purchase order requirements.
Develop strategic plans to manage the performance of the supplier and integrating the aforementioned team members to successfully execute the plan.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. Supply Chain, Engineering, Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Technology or directly related field) from an accredited school and ten (10) or more years of experience in a supply chain, engineering, product development or manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Must be willing and able to travel on a regular basis to support supplier performance and program office delivery requirements. Extensive travel needed (a minimum of 75%).
Knowledge of Supply Chain practices, procedures and MRP/ERP systems expected. Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems desired.
The candidate should have a minimum basic understanding of typical aerospace processes (machining, welding, NDT, etc.) and how they are applied to the hardware being manufactured.
