From the Apollo missions to exploring Pluto, we have a long history of accomplishments. We are seeking a Manager of Supply Chain and Material Management to join our team in Canoga Park, CA.
This role includes supervision of Material Program Management (MPM) analysts and problem resolution. Other functions will include, but not be limited to:
Oversight of the proposal process to ensure materials, services, and Supply Chain labor estimates are compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company standards. Will provide input and manage the preparation of proposal review presentations, review MPM risk assessments and assist MPMs in the preparation of all facets of proposal preparation. May include actual preparation of material, service, and supply chain labor estimates.
Oversight of assigned program material positions to ensure materials and services are procured in accordance with FAR guidelines and program budget, schedule and quality/technical requirements. Monitor program status and assist MPM in problem resolution to include providing corrective actions for material shortages.
Oversight of material and supply chain labor Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Completion (ETC) to ensure accuracy and completeness in support of Program level Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements. May be required to prepare and report material and supply chain labor EAC and ETCs. Typically, performed in concert with program monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
Indirect budget control at the individual group and program level.
Drive continuous improvement within the Supply Chain focusing on improved affordability and reduction in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
Training of new employees.
Motivation of new and existing employees to meet company goals and objectives in a team environment.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Management or other related discipline and at least nine (9) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). A Master's degree is considered a plus.
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Customer savvy and ability to address and drive proactive action when required.
Demonstrated supervisory and strong communication skills managing a team with multiple assignments and priorities.
