In this role you will be responsible for providing best practice advice and consulting on L&D topics to various Risk Management leaders and their teams to identify technical and non-technical training needs. You will liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop and execute training plans and learning programs. You will also be responsible for building and fostering relationships and collaborating with Central L&D, Talent, and HR counterparts, as well as regional L&D counterparts, to support our Risk Management Group's program roll outs.
You will also be supporting the regions with coordinating and implementing globally driven L&D initiatives and "regionalising" global materials and ensuring training offerings in our Risk Group are fit for purpose and relevant. You will need to keep up to date with market trends and demands to ensure this is reflected in the training offerings we deliver. Finally, you will be responsible for maintaining existing learning pathways and designing new learning pathways where relevant, whilst also managing the Risk Management Group's L&D budget.
To be successful, you will have experience in implementing and embedding technical and non-technical training regionally or globally, together with a working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design. You will also have experience in a similar training/L&D program management role preferably in a large and complex organisation within financial services supporting Risk or Finance teams.
Ideally, you'll bring a relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in either one of the following: Human Resources; Adult Learning; Organisational Development or Organisational Psychology. A strong team player mindset and the ability to collaborate across teams, with strong written and verbal communication skills will be essential to your success. You'll also need to have the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage difficult conversations, coupled with outstanding planning, attention to detail and organisation and program management skills. Ideally you will also have the ability to deal with ambiguity and flex your approach dependent on your stakeholders needs.

The Strategy and People Enablement team covers four main areas: Strategy, Change Management, Learning & Development, and Communications. We support both the Financial Management Group and Risk Management Group. We are a global function, supporting almost 3,000 employees across 30 different offices.
The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for assessing and monitoring risks across Macquarie. This includes market and liquidity risk, credit risk, compliance risk and operational risk. RMG personnel liaise closely with all operating areas to ensure risks are understood and properly managed.
