Partnering with the Manager, Strategic Sourcing; Category Leads; and other members of the Procurement team, conduct complex research and analysis of data relating to procurement spend that will inform departmental procurement sourcing strategies. Generate routine and ad hoc reports, data and charts that would assist in the design and implementation of recommendations and solutions in an effort to reduce procurement category spend, identify supplier consolidation opportunities, and optimize contract compliance. Identify trends and identify to department leaders areas of concern to hone focus to address opportunities for improvement.
Required Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Required Experience: 2 years experience in data mining and data analytics work, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: 1-2 years of strategic procurement sourcing work.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage large data sets and extrapolate meaningful insights. Demonstrated ability to present insights derived from data analysis and document results concisely and through meaningful dashboards and charts. Ability to review and analyze key external trends and influences from a wide range of information used to support the development of sourcing plans. Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work proactively, independently, and to maintain accountability for ones work product.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Change management experience including the ability to understand business requirements. Demonstrated ability to understand multiple and diverse stakeholder groups.
