The Inventory Manager is the main point of contact for managing inventory support function for decentralized, facility specific inventory planning and management. This position manages all inventory analytics needs for the Purchasing department and provides analytical guidance, support and planning utilizing historical reporting and other data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
Manage decentralized inventory analytics and supply planning for all facilities. Use historical reporting and other facility specific data to determine PAR levels.
Responsible for analyzing and managing inventory levels to an optimal level to ensure adequate coverage while carefully managing costs.
Understand internal cost per treatment system flow from point of purchase through receiving. Regularly review the process and assist Management as well as actively participate in internal meetings to stay current on process changes or enhancements.
Perform analytics month over month to identify opportunities; advises Supply Chain Director and VP on continuous inventory improvement.
Responsible for coordinating drug conversions and excess product transfers.
Work directly with Purchasing Team members, as needed, regarding inventory management for facilities in their region.
Identify areas outside of standard supply chain orders impacting inventory, and advise and assist the execution on opportunities for improvement. Returns, recalls, etc that impact system on hand inventory and cost per treatment.
Serve as Supply Chain lead/expert on all inventory related issues and projects. This will include internal meetings and assistance to Director of Purchasing and VP of Supply Chain.
Provides recommendations, advice and support to other areas of the company where Inventory Analyst financial data expertise is required.
Participate in team concepts and promote a team effort; perform duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; degree in business or finance preferred.
Five plus (5+) years of experience in an Inventory Analyst role or inventory management with multi location/healthcare environment preferred.
Previous dialysis experience a strong plus.
Advanced analytical skills required.
Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) with advanced Excel skills; proficiency in USRC applications required within 90 days of hire.
