We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for planning and controlling all material movement and inventory levels of purchased or produced products. You will also supervise data collection for SAP input, liaise between Accounting, Accounts Payable, Product Stewardship, and Transportation, and collaborate strongly with Supply Chain, Product Management and other business functions. This role will have you serving as member of the Site Leadership team, developing best practices and sharing with other BASF locations. You will seek opportunities to harmonize processes between Clemson and all Urethane Specialty Plants.

As a member of the Site Leadership Team, you will provide support to establish and achieve Site Goals and support safety initiatives at the site, including active participation in Safety Contacts.
Demonstrating your strong business and financial acumen, you will manage all aspects of Site Accounting including activation of new raw materials as well as new finished products, Master Recipes, BOM's & Routings, month end closing.
Leveraging your education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field, combined with your experience in Production/Material Control Planning, you will be responsible for site Inventory management. This includes conducting and reconciling annual Physical Inventory, managing monthly cycle count and analyzing all inventory adjustments; process includes the mechanisms required to investigate and resolve discrepancies in a rapid manner. Additionally, you will create and manage the necessary procedures and process improvements to reduce the need for continued adjustments.
Your robust analytical skills will aid you in conducting safety stock analysis, including routine review of dysfunctional inventory. You will also review supply/demand to make sure inventory is aligned.
Your proficiency in all aspects of product set-up, Hawaii Tool, SPASS, COBALT & Procurement will serve you well as you create new article setups: new article numbers, changes to package sizes, extensions of articles.
Working as a self-starter who can work without supervision, you will develop supply chain emergency response plan(s) to prepare for and overcome catastrophic events such as plant disruptions, hurricane, flood, etc. This includes interface with key suppliers and warehouses to set up needed article numbers during such events to keep materials flowing to customers on schedule.
Using your clear and concise verbal communication skills, you will create proactive relationships with other departments (production, product management, sales, marketing, and customer service) to effectively plan and work through issues as they arise.
Your solid computer skills including data processing using Microsoft Excel will be essential as you prepare weekly and monthly reports and gather information for SARA and other environmental reporting. You will also use these skills for new product introduction and transfer: FMS processing using the UFM2 (Formula Management System) for Material Master, BOM/Routing of the formulation to Cobalt and use of the Prompt database. You will also work with Product Stewardship and Dangerous Goods for proper routing of the FMS.
Using your experience in SAP or MRP II System, you will serve as the SAP expert for SAP Process Order procedures, COR1 through CORK & TECO as well as all areas of Shipping and Receiving. You will be responsible for SAP training and troubleshooting issues with SAP. You will also use your skills in MRP to determine whether additional use of MRP is warranted and develop projects to implement MRP as required.
