The Department of Medicine's Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine seeks an Assistant Professor faculty member on the Master Clinician Track.
This clinician scholar faculty member will devote almost 100% effort to providing high quality clinical activities in critical care and pulmonary medicine, with some concurrent education of trainees. The clinical effort predominantly will be at University of Minnesota Medical Center and the MHealth Clinics and Surgery and Center, but will include critical care at other Fairview Hospitals (Southdale and Ridges Hospital) and potentially some outreach pulmonary clinics. This faculty member will participate actively and contribute to PACCS Division and Department of Medicine academic and clinical programs in the course of their clinical work, particularly in the management of complex chronic lung disease. We are especially interested in applicants with a focus in the management of complex chronic lung diseases, including progressive, severe lung disease of multiple origins and COPD patients. There is opportunity to develop focused expertise in particular areas (sarcoidosis, pulmonary hypertension) and to link with the lung transplant program. Faculty will be encouraged to participate in multi-investigator studies and grants related to pulmonary and/or critical care. Participation in the Division's clinical and research conferences, journal clubs and core curriculum lectures and teaching of students, residents and fellows is expected.
