Department Overview Managing a third-party service provider engagement in compliance expertise to the management of a third-party service provider engagement that factors identified risks and issues into business decisions related to that engagement.
About the Role
As an Engagement manager (EM) /Relationship Manager (RM), you are accountable for managing a third-party service provider engagement in compliance with this policy. EM/RM is expected to apply business expertise to the management of a third-party service provider engagement that factors identified risks and issues into business decisions related to that engagement.
As An EM/RM must :Complete planning activities, including evaluating the business need for the use of a third-party service provider, obtaining the necessary business approvals, and engaging Supply Chain Management for contracts.
Thoroughly understand the third-party service provider engagement, including all products and services provided, contract, and other risks inherent in the engagement, and perform periodic oversight including:
Monitoring the third-party service provider performance and ensuring it conforms with contractual requirements and service level agreements and meets business expectations.
Reviewing the results of required risk assessments to ensure controls are working as intended.
Communicate changes in the specific engagement to the relationship manager, senior business managers, executive sponsor, or other stakeholders as appropriate
Liaison with Supplier Management team for Maintaining the accuracy, appropriate documentation and completeness of the third-party service provider risk profile and associated lifecycle documentation in TRIMS. (Third Party Risk Information Management Services)
Communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with engagement managers to initiate risk management activities as necessary and on other required matters that may arise
Escalate material issues to senior business managers per the Operational Risk and Compliance Escalation Policy .
7+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both.
Adherence to Wholesale TPRM Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to execute TPRM Life Cycle stages and Validation activities according to program requirements
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Ability to develop partnerships with other business and functional areas
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Experience supporting internal audit and regulatory reviews a plus
Work typically involves close visual acuity on a computer to access, read and analyze the data in order to record data validation and/or establish credible challenge.
4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: additional compliance, additional operational risk management, IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience;
Graduate degree or higher in business or a related field.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Effective communication with Business Groups (i.e. excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills)
