Position Summary: Our Systemwide Procurement group has a great opportunity for a fall internship in our downtown Oakland office. This position can be either a 10 week full time or 18 - 20 hours per week part time role.
We are in the process of implementing changes to UC Procurement supply chain processes, technology and operating models, to produce savings of over $500 million annually. The intern will refine, document, and help automate the process of receiving, distributing, monitoring and reporting Incentive funds. This is a vital step in the process of realizing the value that we are bringing to the university system. We are looking fora UC student with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, technical skills, and a focus on problem solving and finding solutions. Job Close Date:
Under direct supervision, identify stakeholders to participate in a work-group to propose solutions, facilitate the group and document the outcome.
Job Requirements Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills to work effectively with personnel at various levels across the organization.
Demonstrated skills associated with process analysis and documentation.
Strong writing skills.
Problem solving skills including workflow documentation and stakeholder feedback. Required
Education: Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Preferred
Knowledge of financial systems and procurement systems/activities.
Previous project management and facilitation experience. Preferred
