The Department of Health Management and Policy (HMP) at the University of Michigan is seeking a faculty member at any level—assistant, associate or full professor—in the fields of management and/or organizational studies. We are interested in candidates with expertise specific to all areas of the health sector (including health equity management, hospitals, long-term care, healthcare workforce, health insurance, or pharmaceuticals, devices and supply chain organizations) and from related areas of research, including but not limited to strategic management, quality improvement, organizational change, and team and professional dynamics. We are also interested in candidates who use a range of organizational theories and methodological frameworks. Interdisciplinary approaches are encouraged. Individuals who have or will complete degrees in public health, health services, business, sociology, psychology, and related areas are encouraged to apply. The candidate must have a PhD by September 1, 2020.
We seek researchers with strong scholarly credentials and a record or promise of external research funding. The faculty member will be expected to teach at the masters and doctorate level, as well as in the School of Public Health’s new undergraduate program.
