Under direct supervision, the Supply Assistant is responsible for ordering, tracking and stocking of medical supplies and maintaining appropriate inventory PAR levels on a daily basis. Sorts daily supply deliveries, rotates and replenishes stock items, advises supervisor of delivery/purchasing errors; pulls and processes outdated supply items. Store supplies in a neat, clean, and orderly manner; breakdown and removes cardboard packaging and shipping materials. May transport equipment for treatments. Liason for biomed vendors for repair and schedules maintenance of machine. Provides backup administrative support/front desk duties such as patient check-in, answering phone calls and performs other duties as assigned.
Involves ordering, tracking and stocking of supplies for Nephrology programs- includes apheresis, acute dialysis (La Jolla and Hillcrest locations) and Chronic Outpatient dialysis.
Must have a valid California Driver's license and acceptable driving record.
One year of supply chain or other related experience.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, fractions, etc.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Ability to travel between both sites as needed.
