Director, Trade Sales-Full Time Competitive Salary Offered Citi, 25 Canada Sq, Canary Wharf, London The role of this Director-level position is to sell Citi's trade capabilities, specifically Trade Finance, Trade Services and Supply Chain Finance to a defined list of UK and Ireland based multinational clients. The sales officer will be the key client advocate for all of the trade solutions and ensuring that the trade capabilities are delivered and executed to the satisfaction of the client base. Sales will be measured against goals for Wins (new business mandates), client revenue growth, factory revenue growth, calling effort and pipeline. All goals will be on a global basis for names parented in UK/Ireland and on a regional basis for the subsidiary names. This position will report to the Europe Trade Sales Head. This is a senior role and the incumbent will be expected to demonstrate expertise in macro trends and industry changes affecting their client base; act as a strategic 'trusted advisor' to clients at senior level; and represent Citi externally at client events and conferences. The primary focus of this job will be relentless client calling to drive new business against the above mentioned target criteria. Secondarily it will be to work with corporate banking and coverage teams to ensure client access and finally it will be working with Trade operations and product to ensure robust execution and revenue ramp up for the defined client set. Ultimately this role could lead to moves into Trade product areas, other sales roles globally, sales management roles within Trade as well as other client facing organizations such as TTS client coverage and Corporate banking. Knowledge and Experience Solid experience of client facing trade activity. Deep knowledge of trade services, trade finance and supply chain finance. Strong knowledge of the Citi network and capabilities, with a good understanding of Citi risk and trade policies. Skills
Strong credit and risk structuring skills.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Strong presentation skills and deep capabilities in Powerpoint and Excel.
Must be a self starter who is highly motivated, able to plan and organize their time and calling activity with minimal direction.
First rate team player, with outstanding work ethic and persistence to not only originate but see deals through to closure and revenue realisation.
Strong first or undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
