Aspart of the Compensation & Benefits group, the Global Mobility (GM) functionprovides specific subject matter expertise on all relocation related matters globallyfor the firm. The successful candidatewill be part of the EMEA Regional Team, and will report to a senior GlobalMobility Advisor in London.
Thisis an exciting, challenging role that requires strong time-management,communication and organisational skills to effectively manage multiple projectsand deadlines. The Global Mobility function is a busy function managinginternational assignments (long and short term), permanent international movesand domestic moves (UK) throughout the year, with additional annual processesand ad-hoc project work in addition.
Day to day Global Mobility activities include (but not limited to):
Manage end to end process for expatriate moves into the EMEA region:
Liaise with HR stakeholders andbusiness managers at the start of the mobility process to answer queries andadvise on GM Policy and approach.
Advise HR on the tax and SSimplications of each assignment policy
Conduct expatriate briefings onprogram and process including an overview of expatriate compensation,expatriate payroll, benefits, relocation, tax, vendor services and othercomponents including use of the Employee Mobility Portal.
Carry out all required steps in theGM technology platform
Manage monthly assignment activities(activation/deactivation/change) in partnership with Global Mobility Operationsteam as well as coordination for certain ad hoc activities such as terminationprocessing.
Ensure accurate and timely coordination between Global Mobility Operations, Expat Payroll and HRSD/PeopleSoft Administrators.
Interface with HR operational groups, HR GPS and HRBP's and outside vendors to facilitate excellent working relationships and processes.
Liaise with internal HR& Operations teams to manage moves within Key payroll dates.
Manage vendors on day today expat moves and ensure smooth relocation process for the employees.
Strong day-to-day engagement with service providers for the region, including relocation and immigration service providers.
Attend immigrationseminars, expat events.
Strong knowledge of theimmigration process.
Oversight of the social security certificate application process and basic knowledge of the social security implications for International Assignments
Liaise with vendors onsocial security updates for expats.
Ensure the expats arecompliant from social security perspective in coordination with HR and taxvendors.
Good knowledge of expatriate tax in the EMEA region and should be able to highlight the challenges of cross border working arrangements.
Work closely with theglobal tax teams and manage basic tax queries.
Should be able toefficiently handle tax updates and keep the systems up to date with taxinformation for expats.
Assistwith any other ad-hoc regional, global and cross-functional projects (includingbut not limited to ongoing training for key HR stakeholders, Brexit planning)
Minimum 3 years of Global Mobility Experience with a solid understanding of expatriate processes, tax, social security, international compensation and payroll is desirable
Proficiency with Global Mobility systems
Ability to deliver high quality results against tight SLAs
Excellent communication & negotiation skills
Strong time-management and organisational skills
Great attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong partnerships with clients and colleagues
Proficiency with Microsoft applications (MS Excel and PowerPoint, Word, MS office, Visio)
