Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership
The PGY-2 health-system pharmacy administration and leadership resident will have an opportunity to learn across the continuum of care in an environment which places the care and improvement of human life above all else. This program builds upon PGY-1 residency graduates’ competence in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services and in operational services to prepare residents who can assume leadership responsibilities.
This program is uniquely positioned to expose the resident to enterprise-level strategy connected to hospital-level implementation. Learning opportunities with experienced preceptors span enterprise, supply chain, regional, and hospital training locations.
As members of a well-integrated and trusted team of pharmacy residents, the health-system pharmacy administration and leadership residents serve in leadership and mentorship roles within the pharmacy class and within the layered-learning model with pharmacy students. HCA Healthcare has strong ties to the three local schools of pharmacy and involvement with several others nationwide.
Program graduates have taken on pharmacy leadership roles at various levels within our organization as well as other health care entities.
In addition to a competitive salary, residents also enjoy additional benefits:
* Medical, dental, and vision insurance available through the University of Tennessee
* Travel allowance for participation in professional meetings
* Free parking and access to corporate gym/workout facility
