About the Opportunity: Northeastern University School of Law is seeking candidates for a full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty position within the law school, with a secondary appointment in the Northeastern University D'Amore-McKim School of Business. The ideal candidate would have a scholarly expertise in the legal, economic, financial, and innovation implications of financial technologies, algorithmic bias, and/or digital platforms and their business models.
The School of Law has long been a national leader in experiential legal education, with a deep commitment to law in service of the public interest and to engaged scholarship and interdisciplinary collaboration. In making faculty appointments, the School of Law seeks to enhance its innovative curriculum, which combines experiential learning with rigorous analytical training and interdisciplinarity.
Compensation will be commensurate with education, training, and expertise and includes an outstanding benefits package.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold a JD or comparable degree from an accredited institution and must have a demonstrated familiarity with business-related fields such as economics, finance, supply chain and information management, or entrepreneurship and innovation. Applicants must have demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching and scholarly achievement. Formal training in business-relevant fields, a record of external funding, and a background in empirical research methods would each be a plus.
