About the Opportunity: Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things (IoT), the Program Manager provides management with finance, marketing and communications, and space management within the Institution in collaboration and leadership of the Director as well as the Director of the Administration and Finance of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. The Program Manager responsibilities include the management of funding availability and spending procedures, advising the Directors of all financial activities and issues, ensuring compliance with all guidelines along with the University's policies and procedures, collaborates with department and the college's central administration to represent faculty needs with reporting and personnel. Oversee purchasing, Concur, E-print reports and Banner.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required with minimum of 5 years of financial and operations management required to include supervisory experience, preferably in research active academic setting. Significant budgeting and quantitative analytical experience. Outstanding organizational skills, demonstrated computer literacy (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, outlook) and a willingness to learn new approaches/programs. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once work independently and handle confidential information. Experience with budget review, forecasting and monitoring, as well as experience with program evaluation and quality improvement/organizational improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience interacting with faculty, staff and students is preferred.
