The Systems to Enhance Cybersecurity for Universal Research Environment (SECURE) Center of Excellence is dedicated to developing innovative solutions to meet the growing demand for global cybersecurity solutions. The Center will lead research efforts and serve as both a resource and educational core for military, industry and academic endeavors and collaborations that seek to make tools and enact strategies to make processes and information safer. The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct research in an assigned area of the SECURE Center of Excellence.
This position is on a grant or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funding.
Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS); Data Science and Machine learning, Intrusion Detection/Network Security; Social Behavioral and Privacy; Cryptography, Applied & Theory, and Information Sciences; Authentication and Biometrics; Formal Methods and Language-based Security; Hardware Security Design; Information Authenticity; IoT and Automotive Security.
Develop, analyze, optimize and simulate algorithms for cybersecurity and communication-related problems.
Write scientific papers and grant proposals.
Perform other tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation.
Required Education and Experience:
Doctorate degree in an applicable field.
No prior experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
Demonstrable research experience in at least one of the following topics: IoT Security, Hardware Security, Software Assurance / Security, Network Security, Theory and Applied Crypto, Usable Security, System Security, Cyber-Physical Systems Security, Science of cybersecurity.
Experience with various machine learning frameworks.
Experience in writing proposals and research papers in peer-reviewed conferences/journals.
