UW Medicine Supply Chain Management's objective is to ensure our patient care experience is enhanced by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise. UW Medicine Supply Chain Management has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time, day shift, SUPPLY CHAIN TECHNICIAN 2.The Supply Chain Technician 2 - Receiving & Courier is a UW Medicine Supply Chain position based at Harborview Medical Center, but will cover duties at UW Medical Center as well. The primary focus of this position is customer service, and the purpose of the position is to receive, warehouse, courier, and deliver general, medical, and surgical supplies throughout various healthcare settings, utilizing effective receiving, warehousing, and courier procedures. This position reports to the System Receiving and Courier Supervisor/Manager with additional oversight from the local Assistant Director/Site Lead. This position is part of the Supply Chain Technician class series. Supply Chain Technician 2 duties include: receive, warehouse, courier, put away, requisition, pick, distribute, and/or deliver general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment throughout various healthcare settings. Although use of material handling and transportation equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand dollies, vans, and cargo trucks is typical for this work, driving a truck that requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required. Perform advanced supply chain duties such as receiving purchase orders or transporting supplies in vans and cargo trucks. Under general supervision, receive, warehouse, courier, and deliver general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment throughout various healthcare settings. Position responsibilities: The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes the UW Medicine Mission, Core Values, and philosophy. REQUIREMENTS: High school graduation or equivalent AND six months of supply chain experience.
