As part of the HR Team, the Technical Recruiter will be responsible for developing and executing on talent acquisition and retention strategy for Engineering and other technical roles in a fast-growing and dynamic startup environment. The Technical Recruiter’s primary responsibilities include collaborating with hiring managers and HR to identify staffing needs, sourcing talent, and managing candidates through all parts of the talent acquisition process.
What You Will Do
Partner with hiring managers to understand technical roles and identify staffing needs for our growing teams.
Assist with development of long-term talent acquisition and retention strategy that is forward-thinking and considers local and global labor markets.
Source and develop a pipeline of top-talent candidates through professional networking, job boards, social media, career fairs, and external employment agencies.
Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates, keeping the company’s long-term hiring plans in view.
Develop and utilize metrics and analytics to report on and improve upon talent acquisition strategy and hiring decisions.
Collaborate with legal, HR, and hiring managers to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as it relates to employment decisions.
What Gecko Is Looking For
At least 7 years of full life-cycle talent acquisition experience, including 5 years in a technical recruiting capacity.
Experience recruiting for technical positions in Software or Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical fields. Experience filling SaaS roles preferred.
General understanding of machine learning, web development, and UI design.
General understanding of programming and applications, such as Python, Spark, Ruby, Flask, Java, or others, as a means of assessing for candidate capability.
Recruiting experience in Robotics (Perception, Computer Vision, Machine Learning) is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
