The Harvard Business School IT Director of Financial Management and Business Operations reports to the Deputy CIO and leads a dynamic team responsible for the financial management, budgeting, procurement, space planning, and operational needs of HBS IT. We seek a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is a creative and strategic thinker and strong manager of both people and process.

MBA, Master's degree or equivalent work experience Preferred
Minimum of 10 years' relevant work experience
Demonstrated work experience in an IT services organization, preferably within an academic institution similar in size and scope of challenges such as HBS
Strong analytical, project management, and organization skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced Excel skills
Advanced knowledge of budget management, financial and managerial accounting principles, and financial analysis and modeling
Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data query tools
Strong understanding of procurement and contract management processes
Experiencing in managing and reviewing IT contracts
Experience managing, mentoring, and developing staff
Demonstrated ability to work as a productive member of the leadership team
Strong oral and written communication skills
An able and effective change agent with proven success of facilitating organizational change
Collaborative and flexible style, with a willingness to share information and a strong service mentality
ITIL certification(s) desired
Higher Education experience desirable
