Working at MIT offers opportunities, an environment, a culture - and benefits - that just aren't found together anywhere else. If you're curious, motivated, want to be part of a unique community, and help shape the future - then take a look at this opportunity.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER , Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL)-Katabi Lab , to join a lab that performs leading edge research in wireless and IoT systems for sensing and communication and has designed and built high impact technologies that have been deployed in multiple real world applications across the globe. The lab's research has been presented to President Obama in the White House; featured prominently in the media such as BBC, CNN, NBC, etc.; and has won multiple academic and research awards. An example of the lab's research is available by watching Professor Katabi's TED talk . Seek someone who is comfortable with both front- and back-end programming to support the lab's researchers with engineering tasks related to building robust, secure, and scalable computer systems. The exact tasks may change over time to accommodate the lab's research, but generally span the following areas: back-end server and database software, front-end web architecture and mobile application development, managing the connectivity and communication between IoT devices and the Cloud, and integration and performance optimization of machine learning models developed by the research team.
