The Account Manager - Kroger will focus on account management for the Kroger account. The ideal candidate will have a key account management experience and a produce background is preferred. This position will be based in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and report to the Vice President of Sales - Deli.
The responsibility will be to develop and guide the implementation of account specific growth and innovation plans that achieve profitability and sales targets. This role will be the primary liaison between the customer and the company's internal product development, R&D, supply chain, production and sales teams.
Success in this role will involve proactive communications, partnership and collaboration with the customer's departmental retail contacts to ensure effective account maintenance including new item project execution and follow through. Working remotely, the ideal candidate will be a self starter with a curious mind and burning desire to find every opportunity to grow the customer account while solving problems along the way. Managing communication with multiple stakeholders will require a keen need for the details, a tenacity and focus on the opportunity as well as superior organizational skills.
Work with the customer to align and achieve joint business growth objectives.
Identify and communicate opportunities for growth and risks
Partner with sales team to develop and execute sales/insights presentations and line reviews
Work cross functionally within the company to communicate with all stakeholders in customers' success.
Create and maintain relationships with customers to better understand and achieve their needs.
Conduct regular business reviews with the customers and internal teams.
Manage the product distribution and order flow.
Make visits to our customers to identify opportunities for growth within our platform.
Minimum 2 years of account management experience with major food chain.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships with key decision makers and internal resources at all levels.
Superior management, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Articulate, service focused and well accustomed to a client facing role.
Excellent time management, project management, communication and negotiations skills.
Self motivated and the persistence to turn rejection into an opportunity.
Problem solving skills.
Understanding of the product development process.
