ChristianaCare seeks a dynamic and committed community-engaged researcher for a Senior Research Associate position at the Value Institute. The Senior Research Associate will work closely with the Director of Community-Engaged Research, members of the research team and community and clinical partners to develop and implement a portfolio of community-based and patient-centered research aimed at understanding and addressing drivers of health and health equity. We are seeking a bilingual researcher with oral and written fluency in Spanish.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides technical leadership for research projects. Develops research designs protocols and study instruments, provides strategic thinking, leads and supports implementation and data collection, and identifies creative solutions to address identified needs.
Engages in study development activities, identifies opportunities and strategic partnerships, cultivates relationships with existing and potential new partners, writes proposals, develops budgets and expands ChristianaCare's community-based research expertise.
Plans, organizes and conducts qualitative and quantitative research, including community-based and clinical studies, database studies, survey research and quality improvement projects.
Conducts literature searches and reviews pertinent literature.
Works with investigators to develop and maintain original research databases.
Responsible for writing research protocols, manuscripts, grants, and reports.
Responsible for data organization, analysis and presentation of findings internally and for publication.
Responsible for conducting research and evaluation projects with institutional partners including clinical departments and service line teams and community partners
Communicates the results and impact of the Value Institute's work via participation in professional meetings and publication of research results in peer-reviewed publications.
Performs other related duties as required.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients, study participants and visitors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Master's degree in public health, population health or related research field. PhD is preferred.
Oral and written fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Minimum five years of professional experience in the healthcare, community-based research or academic setting.
A demonstrated capability as an investigator and experience in community-based research, collecting and analyzing public health/population health data, including both qualitative and quantitative data.
Experience with intervention research, implementation science and program evaluation preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Access to personal vehicle and ability to travel.
Ability to work flexible schedule, including some nights/weekends as needed.
