In our Digital Consultant role, you will partner with multi-functional teams to understand business opportunities and create meaningful digital strategies
The Digital Consultant takes complex business problems and formulates a vision and approach, transforming the operational processes while applying a customer centric orientation. In this role, you will have the chance to partner with manufacturing locations to deliver digital solutions into our operations and business processes!
The Digital Consultant works with the Digital leadership, operations, function’s leaders and ITAS (Information Technology and Automation Solutions) to build digital innovation capability and be responsible for the cultural and technical transformation of Alcoa into the digital era.
Major activities/Key challenges
Accelerate the development of digital initiatives prioritized by the business, plants, operations to bring value
Ensure digital initiatives have clear business cases with defined metrics to evaluate success and drive continuous, measurable improvement
Own the design and facilitation of brainstorming and ideation workshops for enterprise initiatives using subject matter experts leading to the creation of the team's business case creation that supports high value opportunities
Work with the Digital Team and ITAS to establish an agile innovation process and delivery framework for digital initiatives using small, multi-disciplinary SCRUM teams and agile techniques as appropriate
Support a framework for sharing digital solutions across locations and functions, ensuring the processes underpinning the digital transformation are well defined and embedded
Collaborate and network externally to generate innovation opportunities associated to existing and upcoming business priorities, including construction of partnerships
Essential Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of at least two of the following digital topics: IoT, Connected Worker, Machine Learning, Cloud, Robotics, Augmented Reality, Data Analytics
Experience in business analysis to undertake planning and budgeting requirements for digital initiatives, develop business cases for them and initiate and supervise contracts with external consultants and partners
Positive relationship builder; collaborative including working in multi-functional and virtual teams
Experience implementing "Best Practice" approaches in digital transformation and agile methodologies (including Design Thinking) and leading Scrum teams
3-5 years of experience leading digital or automation projects and initiatives
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Sciences, Engineering
