At the BASF Huntsville Site, we make the chemistry and technology used in vehicle catalytic convertors and other environmental products. As part of our team, employees help us conceive, design, implement and validate new equipment, technologies and processes to help make our world's environment cleaner. This position will provide a crucial link in both Automotive and Non-automotive plants' work flow processes by insuring consumption of materials to produce Finished Goods and also by compiling, verifying, entering and filing records and forms to support production operations and activities.
Inventory Analyst (2000432)- Huntsville, AL
* Process order variance investigations "real-time" to provide immediate support to Production Technicians by driving corrective actions to ensure continued process discipline and PGM usage efficiency * Lead the daily drum reviews (dry weight, PM analysis, QI hold process) * Lead the set-up coater slurry dispositioning process * Lead prep equipment rinse investigations * Assist with creating lot packages, target folders, NCMRs * Produces Finished Goods (FG) to process orders for each work order produced * Obtains necessary data from source documents to ensure SAP accuracy * Consumes raw materials to process orders, including actual number of substrates consumed in production * Consume raw materials "real-time" to process orders, including actual number of substrates consumed in production and manage database * Responsible for all FG production related SAP transactions as needed to ensure order completeness * Performs SAP business unit transfers of inventory (IDTs) * Prepares and sorts source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered. * Contacts authors of source documents including, but not limited to, Slurry Prep, Coating Operations, and Logistics, to resolve routine questions, inconsistencies, or missing data. * Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap and enters that data into the appropriate database system. * Initiates/Responds to inquiries regarding source documents and entered data. * This position will provide the SAP transaction links between sample production and shipping operations. * Leads the resolution of count issues by collaborating for achievement with necessary departments * This position also serves as the cornerstone for ensuring Light Duty finished goods and PM inventories are maintained accurately and variances minimized where possible. * They will support raw material, substrate, finished goods, and retain inventory control as needed with SAP inventory cycle counts and other SAP inventory management functions. * Reviews error reports and enters corrections * Investigates discrepancies in data and involves the right team/personnel to address discrepancies and make corrections * Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered * Files or routes source documents after entry * Keeps record of work completed * Must be able to work with minimal supervision in standardized situations while performing tasks which may require multiple steps * Must be able to collaborate with others for achievement. This will be primarily encountered through daily interactions with both internal and external team members. Collaboration will also be required by supporting process improvement and small project team activities * Must be functional in Access and Excel
