ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Perform intermediate to complex functional and product testing on embedded firmware based projects at the unit, integration and functional level. * Proficient in the creation and modification of test procedures and associated test scripts based on the product Functional Requirements Specifications. * Has a demonstrated depth of knowledge regarding object oriented design principles. * Work with software / firmware developers to review requirements and design specifications to identify test opportunities. * Development and maintenance of test software tools for the efficient execution of test cases utilizing DevOps and CI/CD tools and methods. * Execute test cases developed from the product Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) and firmware High Level Design documents (HLDD) that are identified in the product functional test plan. * Has demonstrated knowledge of the functionality of a motor drive / power converter and can apply test principals relative to the functional operation of that equipment and its features. * Stay abreast of new test technology developments and applications that can be used in products through participation in technology seminars, courses, and independent study. * Must keep a notebook of documented notes that thoroughly explains conceptual thoughts, conditions, restrictions, analysis, synthesis, and test results that serve as justification for test and system design.
Leadership Ability to work as a team member for the test organization within Rockwell Automation. Ability to embrace change and common process within the test organization. Adapts to change by identifying needs, adjusting, and working with others as appropriate to implement initiatives. Must provide the technical leadership of a small team or the mentoring of less experienced engineers, interns and Test Automation users. Must contribute to the oversight of the activities of any non-exempt personnel including training.

Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to : Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14001, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.

Drives activities toward completion with the ability to communicate functionally within the test organization.
