The purpose of this position is to provide senior leadership and serve as the college technology officer for all participating locations. This position is responsible for local day-to-day technology operations, related technology infrastructure, and information services. This position will further assist the VCCS CIO in the planning, implementation, management, and administration of the college information technology program.
•Combination of education and experience that allows candidate to perform the required duties •Extensive years of IT and business/industry work experience including advanced technical knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management, and other related disciplines/processes •Significant years of leadership/management/supervisory experience in managing multiple, small to medium, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders •Must have proven ability to define and develop solutions based on business requirements •Extremely high level of expertise and experience in all levels of information technology, application development, server technologies, database technologies, telecommunications, and information systems •Proven track record motivating highly skilled technical staff to work together as a team and accomplish significantly complicated tasks •Superb customer service skills are able to be documented by a minimum of five diverse sources from internal and external stakeholders •Working knowledge and experience of a System Development Life Cycle Process •General knowledge of ERP •General understanding of information security standards (ISO, NIST, PCI, etc.)
