The Department of Geography is housed on the second floor in the new Dana Mohler-Faria Science and Mathematics Center in the Bartlett College of Science and Mathematics. The department currently has 6 full-time tenured faculty and 5 part-time faculty. On the main campus, the department has dedicated lab space for introductory and advanced physical geography, human geography, small and large GIS labs, a weather station network, a wind tunnel, and an iGlobe spherical projection system. The Geography Department is proud of the contributions of its alumni who put their geographic education to work around the corner and around the world.

The Department of Geography is seeking a geotechnology expert with professional experience in surveying principles and its integration with CAD and GIS. Surveying principles would include topographic and boundary surveys, using equipment to measure distances, horizontal angles, elevation, and GPS location. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Esri Products is essential. The selected candidate will be teaching GEOG472: Topographic Surveying and CAD in the fall 2020 semester.
Courses may be offered on the main campus in Bridgewater or the satellite campus in Attleboro.
Master’s degree in Geography or closely related discipline is required.

PhD in Geography and prior teaching experience.
