The Fleet Services department provides and maintains the UC Davis Health vehicle fleet to support organizational operations for patient care, education, research and administrative programs.

Responsibilities The role of this position is to perform duties related to the support, maintenance, repair and upkeep of the vehicle fleet.
CA Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement, no air brake restriction,
DMV DL51 Medical Certification (must be provided before hire)
Experience inspecting, adjusting and servicing automotive/equipment systems.
Skill to operate and maintain shop equipment.
Skill to document time, material and repairs.
Skill to identify components and map out electronic schematic diagrams.
Skill to safely work with up to 600 volt DC currents, as position requires repairing of electric carts and hybrid vehicles.
Skill to operate a tow truck.
Skill to identify required repair parts.
Good communication skills to work with a variety group of individuals.
Skills to work effectively and efficiently with computer applications including Microsoft Office suite and fleet management software.
Skill to weld and braze.
Knowledge of shop safety practices.
Knowledge of repair manuals.
Knowledge of trade tools and equipment.
Knowledge of environmental protection requirements from Federal, State and Local agencies.
Experience working individually and in a team environment.
ASE Refridgeration Recovery and Recycling Certification.
Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation and fingerprinting. Must maintain eligibility to hold a unrestricted California Driver's License and maintain participation in the DMV Pull Notice System.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
