Wells Fargo's Risk and Finance CIO organization provides technology to several lines of businesses including Risk, Compliance, Finance, Audit and Legal with a combined technology spend in excess of $500+MM annually and is an 1100+ person global organization. Within this CIO Organization, Compliance & Operational Risk Technologies is tasked with providing vision, setting priorities, and implementing technology capabilities across Compliance & Operational Risk. This includes actively collaborating with senior business executives and other technology stakeholders in strategic planning and execution.
About the Role
As a part of the Wells Fargo Technology @ Well Fargo EGS team, this is a management position responsible for the application development, maintenance, and project delivery for a portfolio of Compliance & Operational Risk related applications within the Line of Business from Wells Fargo EGS India locations.
This role is responsible for the management of medium sized technology teams from India locations with the delivery/ execution accountability including people management. This is a player - coach role (providing technical/functional hands on expertise and coach team on domain, process and technology).
Manage multiple teams engaged in development / maintenance and support of Compliance & Operational Risk related applications
Accountable for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage multi-release multi-complexity projects from Well Fargo EGS India locations
Responsible for driving best practices for software development and documentation, assures designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work managing the schedules.
Responsible to engage with the Application Architects and other CoE Partners (included but not limited to DBA, Cloud, Architecture and Application Support teams for the safety and soundness of the assigned applications
Work on generate ideas for Continuous Process Improvements, and delivering Proof of Concepts
Provide direction for agile transformations, build and manage agile teams and establish CI/CD pipeline
Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development phases, lead & participate in architecture discussions, code review etc., and review the completed work effectively
Build a culture of continuous improvement within team and put together metrics to measure the impact of their efforts
Must have 12+ Years of experience and proven record of managing 15+ Technology Team Members
5+ years of leadership or management experience, in an IT environment
5+ years of application development experience in developing application using Microsoft Technologies including MVC .Net, Angular, SQL / Oracle, Web API, SSIS / SSRS, BI Tools - MicroStrategy, Tableau
Should have strong application development background (including Testing) and have good understanding of Agile practices
Should have worked in Compliance & Operational Risk area
Ability to deal with a given problem scenario in multiple aspects (Technology, Talent, Process or Partner)
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across organizational lines and with virtual team members
Experience with Agile and iterative development
