Essential Functions: The College of Engineering at Wayne State University has embarked on an initiative to create a world-class center of research excellence in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Applicants are invited to apply to this tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor level beginning in Fall 2020. This position will target the general areas of integrative bioscience and connected health with focus on nanodevices and nanosystems including novel computing devices and materials, nanophotonics, nanofabrication, integrative bioscience and biosensing, and integrated machine learning techniques.Core Research Project: Nanodevices and nanosystems, Biomedical sensing Systems and integrative bioscience.Essential Functions:The successful candidates must have the ability to develop and maintain a productive research program, including external funding. Supervise the thesis and dissertation research of graduate students. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and contribute to college and university service activities.
Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related field. We expect to make the appointment at the Assistant Professor level, but will consider exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level.
