Work directly with senior management and all other levels of the organization with direct responsibilities for all phases of the product management process including competitor analysis, market research, data entry, sample gathering, test fitments, taking photos, documenting issues, perform vendor follow ups via phone and/or email, creating plan of corrective action to achieve a solution.
Gain an understanding of each business units processes by working with a diverse group of functional areas such as: brand managers, finance, manufacturing, operations, production, purchasing, marketing/web and sales/CS.
Communicate with people with variations in educational levels, experience and language ability.
Perform market research to identify new products, product lines, markets and market channels that offer growth for the core competencies of the RPUI businesses
Work with procurement, manufacturing, finance, sales and marketing to communicate and execute the company strategy
Provide product data and merchandising strategy to the catalog team to streamlines the launch of new products
Assist with catalog and website content to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of the marketing program for each product
Assist supply chain staff to qualify new suppliers, new products or components and reduce current costs
Work with the operations team to improve quality, efficiency, costs and capabilities
Evaluate alternative markets and channels and develop a strategy to complement existing business through each business units core competency
Work with the sales team to analyze the market and the competitive landscape and develop sales material to support the sales team
Organizes tasks and activities for effective accomplishment of responsibilities and objectives.
Collaborates with Operations Teams on a regular basis to anticipate problems and resolve issues.
Participates and contributes to scheduled regular meetings for the Product Management Team

High School diploma: some college preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a team member role

Knowledge of Manufacturing process control & product specifications

Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams with or without formal authority
Demonstrated success of how to work with other team members and plant personnel to achieve the goals and KPI’s of the company.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (2013 or newer)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or relative work experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Product Management Specialist in the Automotive Industry (Preferably Aftermarket and ideally servicing the Restoration Parts Segment)
Experience with ERP systems & ability to use and effectively work within an ERP system
Knowledge of BOM’s / Routers & how to utilize them in day to day operations
Manufacturing experience in B2B business and on-line Direct to Consumer experience
Knowledge of classic, hot rod or restoration markets a plus
Knowledge of classic vehicle applications and the Restoration Industry
Previous e-Commerce experience
Experience with Continuous Improvement Methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and APQP
