HistoGeneX, a leading integrated pathology laboratory and global contract research organization (CRO), is expanding their current staff and seeking a full-time Histology Laboratory Technician at their Naperville Illinois location to support their offerings in single and multiplexed immunofluorescence & immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology services to pharmaceutical companies and biotechs worldwide.
The Histology Laboratory Technician will perform various tasks, including sample preparation (processing, embedding, microtomy), high volume automated tissue analysis (H&E and special staining, IHC, IF ISH, FISH, CISH), and laboratory management (LIMs, MS Office esp. Excel) while adhering to rigorous quality-driven procedures (GCP, CAP/CLIA, ISO).
It is essential the applicant possess a precise detail-orientated mind and can work just as easily in a team environment as they can independently of direct supervision. If you have an interest in technically supporting tissue analysis for immuno-oncology drug programs and development of companion diagnostics, and a passion for pathology and personalized medicine, this might be the role you are looking for.
Hours: 40 hrs per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Location: Naperville, Illinois Minimum Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university, with experience in a laboratory/pathology environment Preferred: HT/L (ASCP) or similar accreditation; hands on experience as a histotechnician; experience working in a CRO environment would be beneficial.
