The Applications Administrator / Analyst will provide primary technical system administration for the Ellucian Colleague Student Information System. Will also provide end-user support and reporting writing for Colleague and other administrative systems.
Essential Functions of Job:
Provide primary technical administration for the Colleague Student Information System.
Install patches, maintain security classes and other duties related to supporting Colleague and Self Service.
Serve as end-user technical support and trainer for Administrative and Student Information Systems.
Develop custom query and reporting solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting System.
Create, monitor and maintain the interfaces between campus systems.
Provides input to assist in the development of project and strategic planning.
Assists IT Staff as needed to support campus needs.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned by the CIO.
This position requires walking between campus buildings in all weather conditions.
This position may require carrying heavy computer equipment, up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field required; experience may be substituted for degree.
Two to five years of experience supporting IT in a higher education environment.
Experience with Colleague, .Net and Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of Relational Database concepts.
Good trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly grasp new skills and technologies.
Good communication skills
