Teach up to 4 undergraduate courses per semester in Management of Information Systems (MIS) and/or the Operations Management (OPS) area. The incumbent would be expected to teach MIS courses that would include, but are not limited to, Microcomputers for Business, Management Information Systems, Business Programming, Decision Support Systems, Management of Information Technology, Networking and Advanced Computer Applications. In addition, this position would also be able to teach in the OPS area in courses such as Operations Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Applied Business Statistics, Managing for Quality and Business Analytics.
Instruct courses at varied times and via various media commensurate with department and university needs to include online instruction.
Maintain AACSB Qualification in one of four areas: Scholarly Academic, Practice Academic, Scholarly Practitioner or Instructional Practitioner.
Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
Contribute to student growth and development including student advising and active participation in engagement activities.
Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve. Provide service to the university and community including the program, department, college, university and greater community.
Cooperate with colleagues and work effectively on a team.
Master's Degree in Management of Information Systems, Operations Management, or other related field plus at least 5 years of experience in either field and/or
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work together in a team environment.
Industry certification(s) in Management of Information Systems, Operations Management, Project Management or other related areas.
Proven ability to conduct quality research and publish work consistent with AACSB standards in relevant areas.
Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
