Seeds QA/QC Manager (2001871) - Research Triangle Park, NC
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are looking for a Seeds QA/QC Manager who will implement quality activities including planning of processes, systems, training, measurement, analytical methods, testing requirements and sampling strategies to secure launch of Hybrid Wheat for our Agricultural Solutions business.
Formula for Success
Degree - BA or BS and 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management Leadership Position is required.
Experience in ISO 9001, Business Excellence and/or Operational Excellence Experience would be preferred.
Agriculture or Seeds industry experience is required.
Contribute to assess lab performance.
Coordinate flow of samples, data with approved third-party labs.
Ensure lab capability and seasonal capacity are available to support timely usage decisions, both internally and for approved third-party labs).
Coordinate the completion and recording of quality related improvement actions to ensure adequate measures are taken to prevent recurrence.
Generate data to make proper usage decisions and enable Supply Chain high responsiveness, report on performance and compliance.
Act as a champion by supporting in-country crop QA/QC experts, by harmonizing SOP's & WI's across crops and countries.
Support Quality improvement projects.
Management of samples from time of receipt to third party laboratories for testing.
Ensure test results are received in a timely manner through communication with in-house and third-party laboratories or official certification agencies.
Review QC data to ensure it is completed, accurate, to make adequate usage decisions.
Ensure QC data are uploaded to the BASF QM system and are communicated timely to the Supply Chain group.
Management and maintenance of all retention samples stored at sites and tollers.
Coordinate and validate ST recipe development together with Seeds Solution Center for all crops.
Revise documents to ensure compliance with BASF, local, and government requirements.
Laboratory supervision experience is a plus.
