The Product and Release Manager works closely with the various stakeholders to align EDEA’s products and platform roadmaps to business needs and monitor successful execution.
Understand the problems and gaps in current portfolio of products
Manage process for developing, prioritizing and communicating vision, strategy, and roadmap to solve the problems
Track timely delivery of commitments and oversee change management around launch of releases
Track that business and budget goals are met
Measure and report on product KPIs
Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:
Participate in strategic planning and demand management activities to develop and evolve roadmaps for portfolio of EDEA data products and underlying technology platforms that balance short-term needs with long term strategies in order and deliver expected benefits and synergy across products.
Work closely with EDEA digital capabilities managers to groom and prioritize the product and platform backlog to ensure roadmap are aligned, defined, and implemented across portfolio.
Define product and platform releases and lead change management activities including communications to stakeholders and enable adoption while minimizing impact.
Maintain EDEA technology inventory and define, track portfolio and product KPIs such as TCOs to enable cost optimization and minimize waste.
Define portfolio and product business plans and ensure that the plans are realized
BA/BS (or greater) degree in IS/CS or related disciplines with at least 10 years of experience working in software company or IT organization
Ability to design and deliver products that delight the users
Familiarity with Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Big Data technology stack
Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning user workflow
Demonstrated ability to make product priority decisions based on data and experiments
Ability to influence DevOps teams, architects and work across multi-disciplined groups.
Strong interpersonal and team building skills, and able to build effective relationships with stakeholders, business partners, external partners and vendors.
Able to effectively partner and collaborate with a broad set of cross functional counterparts (GPS, Commercial, Enabling and R&D) to achieve organizational objectives
Can communicate effectively to audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience at multiple levels within the company through various formats, such as presentations, written proposals, reports, correspondence, leading meetings, face-to-face dialogue etc.
Proven experience operating successfully in a complex organizational environment with internal teams and external partners to optimize solution and value delivery to meet technical requirements
