PUMA North America, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to design and implement change initiatives that foster a culture of diversity and inclusion while driving employee engagement across all our offices and stores in US and Canada for a population of 2500. Reporting into the NA Vice President, People & Organization with a dotted line to the NA President & CEO, this individual should have a successful track record of implementing DEI strategies and fostering organizational change.
Create a company-wide diversity, equity and inclusion roadmap and drive vision and strategy throughout the organization
Serve as the DEI subject matter expert on internal and external best practices and provide strategic advice, insights and perspective
Coach leadership team and people managers on embedding inclusive practices to meet our DEI goals and objectives
Partner with the Talent team to implement innovative diverse sourcing and attraction strategies
Build and cultivate relationships with professional organizations, educational institutions, local community groups and non-profit organizations
Collaborate with the Talent and People & Organization teams on mentoring, retaining and promoting diverse employees across the organization
Assess the learning needs of the organization; assist in the design of content; partner with internal and external resources on the delivery of all learning
Develop and maintain meaningful workplace diversity metrics and set goals for improvement, enabling leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of DEI initiatives and decision making
Advise and collaborate with the internal Employee Resource Groups, spearheading the development of the groups and their sponsors; assist with relevant programming and budgets to ensure lasting business and social impact
Develop DEI communication strategies by leveraging internal platforms and social media to drive employee engagement and employer branding
Create a calendar of activities, events and celebration of culture to advance the goal of creating a diverse and inclusive environment
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent related field
8-10 years of business experience with 5+ years of relevant experience in human resources, diversity, or organizational development
Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to create and execute effective organizational strategies and transformations
Experience building a diversity function and strategy
Deep understanding and expertise of DEI knowledge and trends
Expertise using data and metrics to story tell, communicate strategic vision and ensure accountability across multiple groups
Ability to influence, gain buy-in and implement change with senior leadership, cross-functionally
Strong planning, project management and organizational skills
Possess a “hands-on” tactical approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and positive style that fosters collaborative working relationships
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Comfortable facilitating employee discussions
